For the next couple of weeks we’re going to talk about Drug Free Pain Relief. Dehydration is a huge factor in chronic pain. Muscles are at least 75% water and require water to function properly. Joints require water for lubrication. The liver requires water to filter out the toxins in our bodies. Toxins make you hurt and age your organs and tissues. You need LOT’S of clean water to help your body function properly. Many of us not only do not get enough water but we drink things that actually dehydrate our bodies like coffee, tea and soft drinks. These beverages disrupt the acid/alkaline balance of your body contribute to pain and disease. I’ll talk more about that in another post.
I am a firm believer in the KISS method to all things whenever possible. You know ‘Keep It Simple’. So for the next 90 days, I will periodically give you some very simple ‘Baby Steps’ to incorporate into your daily schedule. Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to simply try them out and see what happens.
This week, since we’re focusing on reducing pain, your assignment is to try to drink ½ ounce of water per pound of your body weight. So if you weigh 150 lbs. your goal should be 75 ounces per day. It’s that simple! Don’t panic! It’s just a goal. Adding fresh lemon or lime to the water would be even better and helps to give it taste for those of you that don’t enjoy water. If you need sweetener – add some Stevia. Stay away from Aspartame and Sucralose they are both neurotoxins and current studies are showing that they are huge contributors to pain and disease.
Several years ago I had a client that was looking to make some changes in his health and we started with just lemon and water. He was used to drinking coffee and a popular lemon/lime soft drink all day. We cut the coffee consumption in half and swapped the soft drink for lemon water. The results were nothing short of miraculous! It started some amazing changes! He got so motivated by how good he was feeling that he stopped smoking and began to exercise. This helped him to lose weight. His main goal was to be able to play basketball with his sons. He accomplished that and so much more, and it all started with a simple baby step! So get busy! LIFE is waiting.
Oh yeah, one more thing tell me how you’re doing! I want to hear about your journey! In my next post we’re going to talk about some INSTANT PAIN RELIEF, but water is a critical component to all things healthy so that’s where we start.
We’re going to be accomplishing some great things together so go drink some water and report back!
Yours In Health,
Renee
P.S. Now I know all you know this, but I want to state for the record that I am not a doctor. Everything that I post here is for educational purposes and I do not diagnose ANYTHING. If you have some health issues that put you under a doctor’s care, I suggest that you clear these baby steps with him or her. Best of luck in your journey to being your healthiest and vibrant self!!!
